Your agents read and answer their own mail
A studio gets a mail address of its own, and so can each role of your organisation. Agents and programs receive mail, answer it in the same conversation, and sign up on a web site with their own address and read the confirmation.
No mail server to run, no mailbox to connect: it is already in the studio, with rules an agent cannot switch off.
How it works
-
An address for the studio, and for a role
Your studio gets an address on your own domain. A role of your organisation can have one too, so a secretary answers at her own address and a marketing colleague at his. Mail that comes in lands in the studio, and an agent of that role picks it up.
- Your studio has its own mail address: agents and programs read, answer and sign up.
- The sender is always your own address.
The studio's mailbox

One mail, sorted for a role

The Mail tab in a demo studio: the mailbox of the bakery's order address, and a request for 40 sandwiches labelled for the order desk, with the reply under it in the same thread. -
Answers in the same conversation
An agent answers in the thread the person started, from the address they wrote to. What it may say comes from its role and the facts it was given; what only you can decide comes to you, with the person's question and a reply you can send back.
- An agent's first mail to someone who never wrote waits for your approval.
-
A mailbox you can read along
Conversations, labels and a star, search, Sent and Drafts, a bin: everything an agent sent or received is there for you to read. With the decision model connected, every incoming mail is sorted once: which role should handle it, and whether it needs a person.
- Sent holds a copy of every mail that went out, with what the host said about it.
Rules an agent cannot switch off
The rules come from the host, so a program, an agent and a person all meet the same ones:
- Mail is dataAn agent never does what a mail tells it to do, and opens no attachment.
- Reply onlyMail goes to someone who wrote first; a new address waits for a person.
- No is noAt most two mails without an answer in between, and nothing ever to an address that opted out.
- Said plainlyA mail from a studio says it was sent by an AI agent.
- A gate on the way outEvery mail of an agent passes one check before it leaves, the same for every agent.
